Google Pixel is getting a new launcher with Android O. With the launch of Android O Developer Preview 2 it became quite evident that amongst many other new features, a new launcher for Pixel is on cards. And within no time, a senior XDA member, linuxct, managed to back-port Android O Pixel Launcher to the devices running on Android Marshmallow 6.01 and Android Nougat. It’s not a half cooked back-port with errors, the developer took out his precious time to reverse engineer GMS portions to get it working error free on Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat.

Google Pixel 2 is expected to be launched in October 2017 running on Android O out of the box. However, previous Pixel devices will also be updated to Android O, therefore, all Pixel users will enjoy this new Google Pixel Launcher. With this guide, you can install Android O Pixel Launcher APK on devices running on Android Marshmallow and Nougat. The Pixel Launcher APK is supposed to work fine, but still, you will have to install and check. The background color of the App Drawer might be blue in some ROMs. This is not a bug but how Google did it. You will have to uninstall any previous launchers before installing this one.
