Skype now supports Android devices running 4.0.3 and up


Microsoft announced that they will soon release a new version of Skype for Android with optimization for devices running on Android 4.0.3 Kitkat to Android 5.1 Lollipop. The update is still in development and will arrive in the next few days. According to Microsoft, “the new update, is lighter on both disk and memory consumption, allowing for greater speed and better audio and video quality on lower end Android devices, as well as increased performance in challenging network conditions”
