We have already written a guide on how to update Galaxy S8/S8+ to Android Oreo. However, that guide didn’t include Odin, the famous flashing tool Samsung, as the Odin available at that time didn’t support .lz4 file. It turned out that Samsung used .lz4 compression method instead of the usual .tar.md5 or the .tar conversion for the firmware files. Anyhow, the good news is that a few days ago Odin received an update which made the flashing tool support .lz4 compression method. Now you can update Galaxy S8/S8+ to Android Oreo with Latest Odin.
