Here are Poco F2 Specifications, Price, And Release Date in this post. Xiaomi is now well-known as Flagship killer company. The Chinese manufacturer is constantly producing some amazing sub-premium smartphones which give look and feel of flagship device but they are not actually flagship. Having said that, the magic that Xiaomi managed to pull off is that its providing amazing hardware at a very reasonable price. The company strategy is to make smartphones affordable and sell them in high quantities so the company could make a profit. It seems a good strategy and is working good so far for the company.

Poco F2 Specifications

Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Poco recently released the device Poco F1 aka Pocophone F1. The device has a high price to performance ratio that is why it earned the name of “Flagship Killer”. Xiaomi targeted the markets like India and Pakistan where a normal user can’t afford to spend thousands on a flagship device. So, Xiaomi offered Poco F1 which gives you flagship experience at a very reasonable price. It’s only been a couple of months since Poco F1 got launched, and the rumor mills are already ripe about Poco F2 aka Pocophone F2. However, all the rumors shall be taken with a grain of salt.

Recently a Poco F2 concept video surfaced on the web claiming triple rear camera setup, under display fingerprint sensor and other amenities. Now, we all want to get all these features at a budget price but it’s very highly unlikely to happen. Xiaomi would keep Poco F2 (Pocophone F2) a budget-friendly phone and you shouldn’t be expecting a 45MP triple camera in a budget phone.

Poco F2 Specifications

Poco F2 is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 850, rather than the Snapdragon 855, to keep the costs in control. It will probably come with same memory configuration as we already seen in Poco F1. Therefore, Pocophone F2 will have 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB Variants. However, the company could go a step further and launch the third option with memory configuration of 4GB/64GB at a very competitive price.

Xiaomi is likely to drop the big rectangular Notch and replace it with a new and trendy Water Notch. For those of you who think Notched Displays are temporary, please don’t get your hopes high. As in my opinion, the Display Notch is here to stay for a long time. All those motorized camera designs wouldn’t last long – that’s just my opinion.

Poco F2 Camera

On the camera front, the triple camera setup shown in the Poco F2 Concept Video seems a little far-fetched. I don’t think that Xiaomi would be able to provide a triple camera setup while keeping the costs down. A dual-camera setup from Poco F1 would be fine. Anyways, Google has proved that the number of camera lenses doesn’t ensure the best picture quality. Google Pixel 3 is providing better pictures with one camera lens than the phones have two-three or even quad camera setup. This shows that the software matter a lot, it’s not always the hardware. Xiaomi might be doing the same in Poco F1. The Poco F2 could easily surpass other flagships by implementing a better neural engine, which should be based on AI. Remember, AI holds the future and the company which uses it best would thrive.

Possible Poco F2 Camera Combinations

  1. Telephoto sensor + regular RGB
  2. Telephoto + Wide-angle
  3. Regular RGB + Monochrome sensor
  4. A higher-megapixel sensor + regular RGB sensor (This setup is used for a hybrid zoom)

Pocophone F2 Price and Release Date

Not doubt, Poco F2 would be a great addition to the already amazing line of smartphones Xiaomi is producing. However, don’t expect Poco F2 to be a great upgrade over Poco F1. Therefore, we can expect it’s price to be in the neighborhood of $320 to $399. The Poco F2 price in India would be around INR 25,000 to 28,000. It’s really hard to give an exact release date for Poco F2, but we can expect its launch in Q2 of the year 201. Xiaomi Pocophone F2 will be made available in India, Hong-Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Pakistan, and some other Asian markets.
