Pre-Requisites:
- Before proceeding, Make sure you have taken backup of your important data like Photos, Videos, Music, Contacts and Emails.
- This Android tutorial is only for Galaxy Note 5. Please don’t try it on other variants.
- You have installed Samsung USB drivers on your PC Windows or MAC.
- This TWRP 2.8.7.3 Recovery tutorial works with Android 5.0.2 and all future updates.
- Before taking a next step, make sure you have verify your device model. You can verify device by going to Settings > About Device.
- You device should have at least 70 percent battery to avoid any unexpected shutdowns during the installation process.
- You have installed the latest Odin 3.10.7 on your PC.

How to Install TWRP 2.8.7.3 on Galaxy Note 5:
Step 1: Download TWRP 2.8.7.3 Official Recovery Package for Galaxy Note 5 and extract the files in your PC.
Step 2: Download the latest Odin and extract the files. Odin is a small software for Samsung devices that will help you to install recovery on Galaxy Note 5.
Step 3: Now, Switch off your phone and boot into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power button together and then press the Power button again till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. Now press Power again to enter into Download Mode.
Step 4: Once your device is in Download Mode. Connect your device with PC and Open ODIN.
Step 5: If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number.
Step 6: Now, select the files you need to flash on your phone. Click on ‘PDA/AP’ and select the package file that you have downloaded.
Step 7: In ODIN, check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options. If these are not checked already.
Step 8: Now, Click on the Start button. The installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete.
Step 9: After the installation process completed, your device will automatically reboot into Recovery Mode and install the root package files. Your ID:COM box will turn green.
Step 10: After you see the home screen, unplug the device.
That’s it. You have successfully flashed TWRP 2.8.7.3 on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5. For accessing the recovery mode, shutdown your device and then hold the Home + Volume Up buttons and then press Power button for about 5 secs to enter into Recovery Mode.
