No phone is without files which need to be hidden or kept secretly. There could be some important information, some personal photos or any dark secrets of yours which you don’t anyone to access. That’s why last year, Samsung introduced Secure Folder feature exclusively for Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Unfortunately, this feature is not available anymore since either most of the Note 7s are exploded or returned to Samsung. However, seeing the ever increasing need of the feature Samsung promised to bring the feature to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Secure Folder feature will only be available on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge with Android 7.0 Nougat installed.
The Korean Giant has kept the promise and the Secure Folder feature is available on both S7 and S7 Edge with Android 7.0 Nougat. Secure Folder feature is used for storing files, documents, contacts, and other personal content that can be accessed by the owner of the device with his fingerprint. Moreover, you can lock your Secure Folder with a PIN or pattern.
Secure Folder hasn’t been released officially yet and it’s not available on Google Play Store. But if you want to secure your files now, you can download Secure Folder 1.0.01-020 APK directly from below.
Note: Secure Folder will only work with an official software released by Samsung. Secure Folder will get immediately locked if any root or Custom ROM is detected which means you will no longer be able to access the content in Secure Folder. Therefore, make sure to backup your data which you are going to keep in Secure Folder.
