Perquisites:
- Your device must be rooted and TWRP must be installed.
- Before proceeding any further backup all your important data like Emails, Messages, Personal Photos and Videos.
- Download and install USB drivers for your HTC One (M9) on your PC.
- Make sure USB Debugging mode is enabled on your Android Device. You can enable USB Debugging by going to Settings > Developer Options.
- The device should be charged up to 70% to avoid any unexpected shutdowns. This is very important, any shutdown during the process can damage your device permanently.

Guide on How to Install Android 7.1.1 Resurrection Remix Nougat Custom ROM on HTC One (M9)
We have tried to keep it very simple, for that reason we have put the guide step by step. You just need to follow every step carefully.
Step 1: Download ResurrectionRemix Android 7.1.1 Nougat custom ROM (RR-N-v5.8.0-20170106-himaul-Unofficial.zip) and Google Apps for HTC One (M9) to your computer.
Step 2: Connect your HTC One (M9) with your computer using USB cable.
Step 3: Copy/Paste ResurrectionRemix ROM and GAPPS files to your SD Card. Make sure to place files on the root of SD Card and not in any folder.
Step 4: Move boot.img file to the android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory.
Step 5: Then turn off your device and disconnect it from the USB Cable.
Step 6: Now boot into Bootloader/Fastboot mode by turning On the phone while pressing and holding Volume Down + Power buttons together.
Step 7: Once your HTC One (M9) is in Fastboot mode, go to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory (On your PC) and open Command Prompt.
Step 8: Type below command and hit enter.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step 9: Now type another command mentioned below and press enter.
fastboot reboot
Step 10: Follow the instruction and select Bootloader > Recovery.
Step 11: Then tap on the Wipe button and swipe on the “Swipe to Factory Reset” option at the bottom.
Step 12: Once Factory Reset is complete, tap on the back button to go to the main menu. On the main menu click on Install.
Step 13: Now select the Custom ROM file which you have already transferred in Step 3. Swipe on the “Swipe to Confirm Flash” option to initiate the installation process.
Step 14: Once the installation the Custom ROM is flashed successfully, repeat the above step and this time select GAPPS file for installation.
Step 15: Finally Reboot System.
