Perquisites:
- Before proceeding any further backup all your important data like Emails, Messages, Personal Photos, and Videos.
- Download and install Latest Huawei Honor 5X USB Drivers on your PC.
- Make sure USB Debugging mode is enabled on your Android Device. You can enable USB Debugging by going to Settings > Developer Options.
- Huawei Honor 5X must be rooted and Custom Recovery like CWM/TWRP must be installed.
- The device should be charged up to 70% to avoid any unexpected shutdowns. This is very important, any shutdown during the process can damage your device permanently.

How to Install XenonHD Android 7.1.1 Nougat ROM on Huawei Honor 5X
Step 1: Download XenonHD Android 7.1.1 Nougat ROM and Google Apps on your PC.
Step 2: Now connect your Huawei Honor 5X with your computer via USB Cable.
Step 3: Move downloaded XenonHD Android 7.1.1 Nougat ROM and Google Apps to the root folder of SD Card of your Honor 5X.
Step 4: After copy/paste is done, unplug the device and turn it off completely.
Step 5: Now turn on Honor 5X by pressing and holding Volume UP + Power Button at the same time. Don’t let go of the buttons until you the Android Robot logo. Now your device is in recovery mode, use Volume rockers to navigate your way through the options.
Step 6: In recovery mode, perform “wipe data factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvik cache”.
Step 7: Go back to the main recovery menu, and select “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD card. Now locate the XenonHD Android 7.1.1 Nougat ROM which you copied earlier. Select it and initiate the installation process.
Step 8: Once the ROM is flashed, install Google Apps by repeating the above step.
