Before Proceeding:
- Before proceeding make sure you have taken complete backup of your important data like Emails, Messages, Personal Photos and Videos.
- Download and install HTC USB Drivers on your PC Windows or MAC.
- You have enabled USB Debugging option on your Android device. You can enable USB Debugging by going in to Settings >Developer Options.
- Your device should have at least 70 percent battery to avoid any unexpected shutdowns during the updating process.
- HTC One M7 should be Unlocked.

How to Install Android 6.0 Marshmallow Custom ROM on HTC One M7:
Here are the steps on how you can install the latest Android 6.0 Custom firmware on your HTC device. The guide is pretty simple and easy to understand. All you need to do is to follow the steps properly and you will have the Custom CM 13 custom ROM in no time.
Step 1: First you need to download the CM 13 Android M 6.0 custom ROM and Google Apps Gapps for your HTC One M7.
Step 2: Once downloaded. Connect the HTC One M7 to your PC via USB cable.
Step 3: Now, Copy and Paste the downloaded files (CM13 ROM and Gapps) to the root directory of your SD card.
Step 4: Once you place the files, disconnect the device and turn it off.
Step 5: Now, you need to boot the device into bootloader mode. You can access HTC One M7 bootloader by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Power Keys at the the same time. Now select bootloader > Recovery by following the on screen instructions.
Step 6: While the device is in Recovery/bootloader Mode, perform a data wipe by navigating to wipe data/ factory reset and confirm the process.
Step 7: Now, clear the cache by selecting wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache.
Step 8: Now, On the main recovery screen, select install zip from SD card. Now, choose zip from SD card.
Step 9: Now select the CM 13 Custom ROM file that you have placed in the SD card and start the installation process.
Step 10: Once done, repeat the same process for installing Google Gapps.
Step 11: Now, Go back to the main menu of recovery and reboot your phone. The first boot may take about 5 minutes.
