Before Proceeding:

  • Before proceeding make sure you have taken complete backup of your important data like Emails, Messages, Personal Photos and Videos.
  • Download and install Samsung USB Drivers on your PC Windows or MAC.
  • You have enabled USB Debugging option on your Android device. You can enable USB Debugging by going in to Settings >Developer Options.
  • Your device should have at least 70 percent battery to avoid any unexpected shutdowns during the updating process.

How to Install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop CM 12.1 Stable ROM on Sprint Galaxy Note 2:

Here are the steps on how you can install the latest Android 5.1.1 Custom firmware on your Galaxy device. The guide is pretty simple and easy to understand. All you need to do is to follow the steps properly and you will have the Custom CM 12.1 custom ROM in no time.

Step 1: First you need to download the CM 12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM and Google Apps Gapps for your Sprint Galaxy Note 2.

Step 2: Once downloaded. Connect the Sprint Galaxy Note II to your PC via USB cable.

Step 3: Now, Copy and Paste the downloaded files (CM12.1 ROM and Gapps) to the root directory of your SD card.

Step 4: Once you place the files, disconnect the device and turn it off.

Step 8: Now, On the main recovery screen, select install zip from SD card. Now, choose zip from SD card.

Step 9: Now select the CM 12.1 Custom ROM file that you have placed in the SD card and start the installation process.

Step 10: Once done, repeat the same process for installing Google Gapps.

Step 11: Now, Go back to the main menu of recovery and reboot your phone. The first boot may take about 5 minutes.
