Huawei P9 successor Huawei P10 has been in the market for quite a while now and is one of the finest handset to date. The device comes with a 5.1 inch touch screen display, Kirin 960 processor, an 8 MP front camera and the rear camera of 20MP monochrome sensor + 12MP RGB sensor. Moreover, the Huawei P10 comes with a long lasting battery of 3200mAh but despite having a powerful battery the device isn’t something special in terms of battery life and you have to charge your device after every 6 hours. The Huawei P10 does offer Super Charge technology which can charge the device up to 50% in just 30 minutes but unfortunately that’s not a solution every time.
So, in this guide we’ll teach you how you can fix Huawei P10 Quick Battery Drain problem. We do hope Huawei will launch a future firmware update which can improve this issue but right now you need to follow the steps below.
Table of Contents
Turn off the Automatic Brightness of the phone.
Huawei P10 and P10 Plus have an impressive display and if you turn on the automatic brightness it will consume a lot of battery so it’s better to set a brightness point manually. So, the screen won’t consume extra battery power.
Check all running background applications:
For checking the active background apps, Go to Settings > battery and check the battery consumption of all the background apps. If you spot any app that’s constantly consuming a lot of battery then tap on the ‘Force Stop’ button or just remove it. Recently, my device’s battery is draining like crazy and when I checked all the running apps, I found out that a weather app is consuming around 60% of my battery so I uninstalled it and now everything is working amazing well.
Enable Power Saving Mode of the device:
It would be wise to enable battery saving mode on Huawei P10. In order to enable it, You need to go to Settings > Battery.
Disable Wi-Fi of Huawei P10:
If you have a data package then there is no need to enable Wi-Fi of the device. It will be better to disable it on those locations where there is no Wi-Fi or you don’t have an access.
That’s it. Follow these tips and fix the battery consumption problem of Huawei P10. If you have any questions or stuck at any point do let us know in the comments.
