Yes, you heard it right, Google Calendar can be flooded with spam events. It’s, by no means, a spam-free app. Anyway, you can get rid off of this spam very easily. You just have to follow our guide on how to block Google Calendar Spam from popping up every now and then.

How Google Calendar Spam Works

Google Calendar Spam is different from the usual spam. In its case, it gets flooded with phony events for which you haven’t even signed up. How this phony event invites slips into your daily calendar is an interesting story. It’s very easy for scammers to reach Google calendars. All they need to do is to send you an email on your Gmail account with an event invite attached. Now you must be thinking that this spam email must go to the spam folder and shouldn’t bother you. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Even though the spam mail goes right into the Spam Folder, your Calendar will, by default, automatically pick it up and add it to the appropriate calendar. Now that it has reached your Google Calendar, you can only remove it manually.
