Sony announced its flagship device Xperia 1 earlier this year. However, the device hasn’t made its way to the market yet. We have only experienced the stock wallpapers of Xperia 1 and its successor is already making rounds on the internet. The famous @OnLeaks has shared CAD renders and a 360-degree video of this upcoming phone which is Xperia 2. It is supposed to supersede Xperia 1 when it’s even not available for purchase yet. However, these Xperia 2 leaks show that this might be just an incremental update over Xperia 1. The design looks very familiar to the already announced Xperia 1, and the alleged specifications of Xperia 2 are more or less the same as Sony Xperia 1 with the exception of screen-size.
Keep in mind that Xperia 1 is a flagship device with 6.5-inch OLED display with tall 21:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 855 SoC, and other high-end specs. As I mentioned earlier, the one noticeable change in Xperia 2 is the screen size, the display is slightly smaller at 6.1-inches on Xperia 2. And the other change is the position of the tripe-camera setup, it’s off to the side instead of centered on Xperia 2. Some other possible specs include 6GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 855 SoC, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
These specs shall be taken with a pinch of salt. Since the device is not official yet, therefore, any hardware mentioned is subject to change unless the device gets official. Meanwhile, enjoy the leaked renders of Sony Xperia 2.
