 Requirements To Install TWRP on Samsung Galaxy S10e

  • The bootloader must be unlocked on your Galaxy S10e.
  • Enable USB debugging and OEM unlock from the Developer options.
  • Install the latest Samsung Galaxy S10e USB Drivers on your PC.
  • External microSD card or USB OTG.
  • Make sure that you have a backup of all of your important data. Because this method will format everything on your device.

Unlock Bootloader on Galaxy S10e

  1. Allow bootloader unlocking in Developer options > OEM unlocking.
  2. Power off your device. Press Bixby + Volume Down and plug in your device to a PC to boot into download mode. Guide: How to Boot Galaxy S10 into Download Mode
  3. Long press volume up button to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe your data and automatically reboot. That’s why we press on taking a backup before performing any such procedures.
  4. Go through the initial setup. Skip all the steps which are related to setting up your device for daily use. It’s because all the data will be wiped when you will install Magisk. So, no point setting up a device for daily use. However, Connect the device to internet in the setup though.
  5. Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and grayed out.

How to Install TWRP on Galaxy S10e

  1. First of all, you need to download a couple of files. You can download them from below links.
    1. TWRP_S10e_Magisk_Prepatched.tar | Download and put this file on your PC.
    2. Encryption_Disabler_S10_S10_S10E.zip | This needs to be stored on your external SD card.
  2. Secondly, download Odin which is required to flash TWRP on your Galaxy S10e.
  3. Now, turn off your device and boot it in Download mode. To do so, Press and hold the Volume Down + Bixby + power buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. Press Power again to confirm to enter into Download Mode.
  4. Open Odin on your PC and connect your Galaxy S10e to it while it’s in download mode.
  5. If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number.
  6. Click on PDA/AP and select the TWRP package file which you download in the first step.
  7. Don’t forget to uncheck the Auto Reboot and check Reset Time options in Odin.
  8. Now click on the Start button in Odin. The installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete.
  9. After the installation is completed, you should hold your Power Button and Volume Down Button until the screen turns black.
  10. Once the screen turns black, you need to let go the Volume Down button and hold the Volume Up Button along with Bixby and Power Buttons.
  11. This will boot your phone into TWRP recovery. As the stock recovery is now replaced with TWRP custom Recovery.
  12. Now, from TWRP flash the ZIP file (Encryption_Disabler_S10_S10_S10E.zip) you downloaded in Step 1.
  13. Once its flashed, reboot your device.

That’s it! TWRP is now installed on your Galaxy S10e.
