Design of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
Rumors suggest that Xiaomi has followed the footsteps of Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 when it comes to design. Xiaomi is not bringing any major changes to the design of Redmi note 5, they decided to follow the same design approach of Redmi Note series. However, one major change is expected as the fingerprint sensor is reported to placed at the front of the device rather than back. Only the more premium range of Xiaomi devices have fingerprint at the front. But it would be a really bold and much-awaited step taken by Xiaomi as a fingerprint at the front is always more convenient to use than at the back.
One thing is for sure, there will be a unibody design, same as the one which we have seen earlier in Redmi Note 4.
Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.5 inch full HD display, bottom faced speakers along with a Type C connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top. Moreover, the device has 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash and 13MP front camera. The device will be launched with MIUI 9 running on top of Android 7.1 Nougat. Later, Redmi Note 5 will be upgraded to Android O.
Redmi Note 5 Display
As we mentioned earlier, Xiaomi is known for giving the best in budget price. Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display. The videos and pictures will look very crisp and vibrant with a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch. Moreover, the rumors are suggesting that the display is more bright and visible under direct sunlight also it would have a better contrast and saturation.
Camera of Redmi Note 5
The camera has always been a strong selling point for Xiaomi. The Chinese tech giant is known for using high-quality camera sensors on their phones. Redmi Note 5 is expected to have a 16-megapixel Sony Exmor camera sensor on the back and a 13-megapixel F/2.0 Sony camera sensor on the front. Xiaomi has covered the shortcomings of Redmi Note 3 and Note 4 when it comes to the camera. Redmi Note 5 will have a better capability in low light photography and indoor shots. Moreover, it’s being said that Redmi Note 5 will feature are Digital Image Stabilization, Geo-tagging, Live Filters, etc.
The front camera of Redmi Note 5 is much better, compared to its predecessors, following the trend of selfies and video calling. Note 5 will also be capable of recording videos in 4K resolution along with better video recording in low light situations.
Processor, RAM, and Storage
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.3Ghz. The process will support Bluetooth 5 and fast charging. Fast charging was heavily missed with Redmi Note 4, so this time Xiaomi decided to include it in Redmi Note 5. On the graphics end, Redmi Note 5 is getting a newer graphic processing unit (GPU) Adreno 508 GPU.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will hit the market in three variants 3GB-32GB, 4GB-32GB, and the 4GB-64GB model. The device will also have a hybrid sd card slot.
Battery
The battery is another strong selling point Redmi Note series. Xiaomi never compromised on this front, 3790mAH battery is installed in Redmi Note5 to keep the phone up and running for a day. The battery is kept smaller to keep the phone sleek. However, phone manufacturers shouldn’t squeeze the batteries to the limit where they start to explode. I am happy to have little bulk on my device rather than compromising my security. Quick charging is another highlight of this section, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 630 has made it possible for Xiamoi to include fast charging capability in Redmi Not 5.
Redmi Note 5 Release Date
According to the sources, Redmi Note 5 will release on 17 August 2017. The device will first be released in China and then after month Redmi Note 5 will hit the shelves of Asia.
