How to fix “Unfortunately, Settings has stopped” error on Galaxy S8/S8+:
Step 1: Restart the device:
Unfortunately, Settings has stopped is one of the most annoying error and it occurs randomly. But sometimes, restarting the device fixes the problem. Try restarting your Galaxy device if the error persists then it’s time to use the second step.
Step 2: Clear Cache of the device:
Now, it’s time to try clearing the cache of the device. For clearing Galaxy S8 Cached Data:
Go to Settings > Storage and tap on the “Cached Data”. Once you tap on it, a toast message will appear. Remove your device’s cache. The error will not appear again.
Step 3: Wipe Cache Partition of Galaxy S8/S8+
Step 1: – Boot Galaxy S8/S8 Plus in recovery mode. To do so, completely turn off your phone. Then turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power Key. As soon as the screen turns on, let the Power button go. Now your Galaxy S8/S8 Plus will boot in recovery mode in few seconds.
Step 2: – In recovery mode, you will see a list of options. From that list choose “wipe cache partition”. Use Volume rockers to go up and down through the list.
Step 3: – Once you highlighted “wipe cache partition”, press power button and then select “yes” and press power button again.
Step 4: – This will clear cache partition of your Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus.
