A senior XDA member cstark27’s latest Google Camera Mod P3v11 gets a rebase on Google Camera 6.2.024. This latest mod brings Pixel 3’s exclusive Synthetic Fill Flash to the Pixel 2. Google Pixel devices already had amazing cameras and with a single lens, they were giving tough competition to some really big names in mobile photography. However, things only got better with the launch of Pixel 3. The search giant brought many minor improvements to the cameras of Pixel devices. Google spent a decent part of its launch event focusing on the camera capabilities of the two flagships. Now with latest Google Camera Mod P3v11 at our hands, we have all the Pixel 3 camera features except Motion Metering and Tracking Focus available for the Pixel 2.
You must be wondering why Synthetic Fill Flash is so important that it has been ported to Pixel 2 or even to Pixel. In essence, Synthetic Fill Flash uses machine-learning based segmentation algorithm to identify human subjects and add a warm glow to them, as would have been obtained by using a reflector in real-life. You can download Google Camera Mod P3v11 APK by visiting the link below. Do note that Android Oreo 8.1 is not supported for this release, so try this on Android Pie for now. This mod has only been tested on Google Pixel 2, therefore, it’s not necessary that all the features working on Pixel 2 must work on Pixel as well.
