Samsung is all set to continue its Note Series with the release of Galaxy Note 8 even after the huge setback last year. Galaxy Note 7 was a complete failure and Samsung had to recall millions of units from the distributors all around the world. All this Galaxy Note 7 episode dented Samsung’s brand image and the Korean giant had to bear billions of dollar in losses. But Samsung stayed determined and is going to release Galaxy Note 8 this year. We know it would be hard to regain the confidence of users, so Samsung will have to heavily market the safety features of the battery. Samsung is now using 8 point safety checks to ensure that everything goes right.

Galaxy Note 8 will have the bezel-less display, similar to Galaxy S8 and S8+, and will also feature a dual-camera setup on the back. Moreover, Samsung has developed advanced pressure-sensitive technology for its OLED displays which means we are definitely going to see something like Force touch in Galaxy Note 8. According to sources, pressure-sensitive technology will only be restricted to the navigation strip on the bottom of the screen and the new virtual home button. The success of Galaxy Note 8 is inevitable for the restoration of the reputation of the Korean Giant. Now let’s take a deeper look at the specs of Galaxy Note 8. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Display and Design

Galaxy Note 8

Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to have 6.3-inch 2K Super AMOLED Display with a pixel density of more than 520ppi. Some will think – why Samsung didn’t opt for a 4K screen? But according to us, it’s a smart move since on smartphones there is not much of a difference between a 2K and 4K screen. Another reason for dropping the idea of 4K resolution is that Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to have a 6.3-inch display and 6.3-inch 4K Super AMOLED means Samsung would have to have a bigger battery. Anyhow, 2K resolution with a pixel density of approx. 520ppi is enough to give you a breathtaking experience while gaming or watching movies.

As we mentioned earlier, Galaxy Note 8 will have a bezel-less design pretty much like Galaxy S8/S8+ except for the less rounded edges. The fingerprint sensor will be on the back of the phone, earlier it was rumored that fingerprint sensor might be embedded within the display. We hope that Fingerprint sensor on Galaxy Note 8 will be better positioned than its little brothers Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Processor

The rumor mills suggest that Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by Exynos 9 Series, the most powerful processor ever build by Samsung. Apparently, Exynos 9 is going to be more powerful than any previous Exynos processor or any currently existing Snapdragon processor. The U.S variant is rumored to have Snapdragon 835 which is also a very powerful chip. Both chips are a beast and are capable of running any game or application without a sweat. Of course, once the device is out people will push it to its limit with all sorts of benchmarks and we are not expecting any lag or stutter while you are at it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 RAM, Storage, and Battery

There is no scarcity of resource when it comes to RAM. Galaxy Note 8 is expected to have 6GB RAM along with 64GB of Internal Storage. While the other configuration will be 6GB RAM along with 128GB of Internal Storage. Both the variants will have a dedicated SD card slot with which you can expand the storage up to 256GB.

All these beastly specs will be powered by a 3300 mAh battery which seems below par, considering the size of the screen and 2K resolution. However, as the Android OS is getting better day by day we can expect that the device will be able to give a decent battery backup. Native support for wireless as well as fast charging will be there.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Camera

The most important feature of Galaxy Note 8 is that it is going have the dual camera setup on the back. Galaxy Note 8 will be the first Samsung device to have a dual camera setup. Previously, Galaxy S8/S8+ were expected to be the first devices to receive dual camera setup but Samsung dropped that idea. The device is rumored to have dual 12+13MP cameras on the back. In the dual setup, 12MP will be the wide angled one while the 13MP one being a telephoto lens. On the front-side, Galaxy Note 8 will feature an 8MP camera with image stabilization capability.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Price

With all these specs dripping out of a beautiful metal body we cannot expect it to come with an affordable price tag. We will not know the actual price of Galaxy Note 8 until revealed by Samsung, but we can expect the price of Galaxy Note 8 to be in the neighborhood of $900 to $1150.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date

Apple iPhone 8 is expected to be released in September this year, so Samsung will try to launch their premium flagship device before it. The speculations are that the Samsung will choose the month of August to release Galaxy Note 8, to be precise the expected release date of Galaxy Note 8 would be 26th August 2017.

Galaxy Note 8 will be the test case for Samsung after the debacle of Galaxy Note 7. At the time of launch, the press from all over the world would be on Samsung and everyone will be asking the same question – “Will Samsung Galaxy Note 8 explode?” We hope it won’t, and Samsung must have taken some serious steps to avoid such kind of incidents.
