Thank you so much for your post, I have the same issue but I used to have intermittent signal, meaning every 6 hours I have a connection of 1 hour more or less, your options have somehow improved but did not resolve the issue.
What is your thoughts? Do you think there are more options? I am just concern whether it is a phone issue or my SIM card.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Karam, Thanks for the compliment 🙂
I think You should try a different SIM card on the device first. If it’s not fixed then its probably firmware or device problem.
Having the same issues on both an s8 and s8+ where they suddenly no longer able to pick up 2g signal
Hi Alexis,
The same issue happened with me recently. I was using 4G on my device and all of a sudden the service went down. I tried removing SIM card and even tried it on a different device.
So, the very next day, I went to the service center and they said that SIM card has been damaged. So, they replaced my sim card with a new one and everything went well.
I bought an unlocked Galaxy Y Pro GT B5510 from a UK seller, shipped to the states. It will not register with my carrier, won’t connect on a cell signal even after auto-registering. Says the SIM card does not allow it. That same SIM card works on that same carrier just fine in my Blackberry. The B5510 has the right carrier name and EMEI listed but mobile network is not available.
I’ve factory reset it – no impact. I’ve rooted it – no impact. I’ve run the GalaxSim Unlock app and it confirms the phone is unlocked.
Why will it not connect? Any ideas?
Many thanks!
Seems like the phone is locked.
That’s what I thought as well. Turns out the B5510 operates on different wavelengths than US carriers on 3G. It simply cannot talk to the carriers here. It sits in a drawer, available as a WIFI game toy. Useless.
Hi, I’ve tried these with some luck. I now have data on 3G/2G but I still cannot make calls as it says I’m not registered on the network. My sim works in my mum’s phone. I’m on tesco mobile. Strange thing is it worked for over a week then stopped. It then worked in Prague and stopped when I came back. I’m in the UK. Any ideas?
